Even kids need a night away from the parents every now and then
Kids’ night out continues through February at the Scott County Family Y.  YMCA locations throughout the Iowa Quad Cities are open for “Kids’ Night Out” on February 3rd and 11th from 5:30 to 10pm for kids between the ages of 3 and 12.

Activities include swimming, fun, games, dinner and a snack.  The Y’s are open to everyone in the community ($15/member; $25/non-member), but the Y’s ask you register in advance.

Get off the couch and onto the dance floor
And for adults who think they can dance (or think they might want to learn), the Scott County Family Y is bringing out ballroom dance classes beginning Monday, February 6th (at the North Family Y).  Cost is $90 per couple for either the beginner (6:45 to 7:45pm) or intermediate (7:45 to 8:45pm) classes.

Dennis and Sandy Scheckel teach the classes and bring over thirty years of professional dance instruction to the floor with them.  For more information or to register, call the North Family Y at 563.391.7771
